The Isle of Man Lighthouses Challenge is a friendly cycling sportive that takes in the Island’s most spectacular coastal scenery - all in aid of Cruse Bereavement Care.
There are options to suit all abilities - ranging from leisure cyclists and eBikers, all the way up to seasoned professional racers!
Covering over 100 miles in distance and over 2000 metres (6800 feet) in climbing, the Full Circle Route is a spectacular challenge. This route truly takes in the full majesty of the Island's most beautiful scenery.
It's got everything that makes the Isle of Man such a unique and wonderful place for cycling: Stunning coast, iconic ancient beauty, rugged terrain and challenging inclines; this clockwise route has it all.
The Half Circle Route is full of steep inclines, keeping you challenged throughout! It follows the main course - starting at North Quay- before making its way to the second feed station at St John's.
You'll return to Douglas via Archallagan, Braddan and the ever-so-quaint Abbeylands. Explore 51 miles of the Island, where the balance between natural Manx scenic wonder and testing terrain is perfectly struck.
Covering the shortest distance of the routes at 26 miles, the Quarter Circle Route takes the journey south and ends at the Port Erin feed zone. Expect an infectious atmosphere fitting for all the family.
A perfect day for children, leisure cyclists or novices ends with a medal, delicious food and a steam train ride back into Douglas. A wonderful way to round off the event!
Zurich on the Isle of Man is the new title sponsor of the Lighthouses Challenge.
It is the multi-line insurance firm’s first ever sponsorship of a mass participation sports event here on the Island.
Every pound raised will be match funded (up to a maximum of £50,000) by the Z Zurich Foundation - a charitable foundation funded by various members of the Zurich Insurance Group.
The Isle of Man Lighthouses Challenge is delighted to announce a new partnership with one of the Island's leading digital firms - DotPerformance.
The partnership sees DotPerformance become the official event website provider and sponsor of the Quarter Circle ride which finishes in Port Erin. The ride will be renamed the Lighthouses Quarter Circle p/b DotPerformance.
The new partnership will also see DotPerformance produce drone and film footage for the event to help with its promotion to showcase the event digitally.
Cruse Bereavement Care has been a pillar of the Isle of Man community for over 30 years. Their free and confidential service provides a helping hand for anyone, across all age groups, who suffers the loss of a loved one.
That’s why we are so proud to be raising funds to ensure this Manx institution can continue its exemplary work, supporting those who need it most.
We would like to encourage everyone taking part to make a pledge to Cruse or do fund raising using our MyImpact fund raising platform where all donations will be matched.

Our new Official Vehicle Partners are Rex Motor Company who are kindly providing our event safety team with vehicles for our lead cars and broom van. Rex are one of the Islands leading car dealers, specialising in car sales, leasing and servicing needs based on the Old Castletown Road just outside the centre of Douglas.
We have partnered with Omnia Mind who is a specialist human performance consultancy serving clients in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Their team of consultants’ design, build and deliver bespoke innovative training interventions that develop organisation’s resilience and improve leadership. They will be ensuring all Lighthouses Challenge participants are well fuelled by providing protein bars which have been created and supplied locally by Allergy Village.
We would like to welcome the Tevir Group to the Lighthouses Challenge as one of our charity partners. They have generously donated our top prize of a Giant Ebike for our first ever Lighthouses Prize draw for Cruse Bereavement Care Isle of Man.
The Rehablab team have supported the Lighthouses Challenge for many years and are a welcome sight at the finish. Their complimentary post ride massages help aid your recovery from tackling the ride.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with the EMS team who provide support with our event management plans, safety risk management and event equipment.
The event couldn't take place without the valuable support provided by the dedicated and multi-skilled volunteers from St John Ambulance. They are on hand to help with any cuts or scrapes whilst you're out on the road.
Launched in July 2020 by Jules Sum, a mum to a child with multiple severe allergies, Allergy Village was born out of frustration at the lack of healthy eating and dietary friendly options on the Island. Allergy Village provides Gluten Free, Plant based, (soon to be diabetic) and allergy friendly snacks as well as running educational events and classes.
We are supported by the Visit Isle of Man team and the Isle of Man Department of Enterprise who help promote our event to our off Island visitors.
